What is Trifta?

Trifta is a digital financial services platform for disadvantaged Africans. Trifta is based on the traditional contributory thrift savings system used commonly across financially under-served communities in Nigeria. Trifta allows merchants (thrift collectors) to expand their customer reach, manage the savings/loans under them from one dashboard and offer improved financial services. Trifta also eliminates the insecurities in the traditional thrift savings system and give merchants access to interest free loans in form of micro investments. Trifta is targeted towards low end users, and micro and small enterprises.

What are the registration requirements for Individuals?

To register, we require your name, phone number, occupation, address and date of birth

What are the registration requirements for merchants?

To register, we require your name, phone number, business information, address and date of birth

How can I transfer money to my Trifta account?

You can transfer money to your Trifta account in 3 different methods:
1. Pay with cash to our registered merchants.
2. You can purchase our payment voucher from any store and load it in your Trifta account.
3. You can fund your Trifta account via a bank transfer from any commercial bank.

Can I withdraw my money anytime?

Yes, you can.

How can I withdraw money from my account?

Simply click on withdraw savings and your money will be sent to you through our merchants.

Are there withdrawal charges?

There are no withdrawal charges for cash withdrawals. However, there are standard charges for bank transfers

Does Trifta have a physical location I can visit?

Yes we do. Our office is located at No. 8, Jaba Close, Garki II, Abuja FCT, Nigeria.

Savings

Do I get Interest when I save with Trifta?

No, there are no interests in savings.

Is there a minimum duration I can save for?

No, you can save however you want to save.

Is there a maximum duration I can save for?

No there is not, you can save for as long as you want.

What is the minimum amount I can save?

You can start saving with as little as 50 naira.

What is the maximum amount I can save?

There is no limit to the amount you can save.

What happens if I stop saving?

Your funds are yours and you can withdraw or resume your savings any time.

Can I save any amount I want at any day?

Yes there is, we support irregular savings

What are the standard savings plans available?

You can save daily, weekly or monthly.

What is a savings cycle?

This is the duration you chose to save for, which can be number od days for daily savings, or weeks for weekly and months for monthly savings. It is calculated from the first day of your duration through to the last day, when you are ready to withdraw your funds.

Security

How do you secure my transactions?

We have implemented 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of security to your account. This means that no one other than you can gain access to your account.

How do I trust a Trift merchant?

We know that trust is a big component that thrift savings thrives on, we carefully select and work with trusted merchant that are well known, and operate within your community. We do our background checks on them and get as much information as we need to be sure they are people we can do business with.
